Happy Lunar New Year 2022!!
Thank you so much for your interest in Georgetown Shaolin-Do Kung Fu & Tai Chi!
Our little school was established mere months ago, and it has been such a pleasure to meet potential students and to see our community grow with students who show such dedication. Here is to good fortune in the year to come!
We have a very special announcement to make this month:
Congratulations to Cameron on the birth of his new baby girl!!
This marks the first baby born in our Georgetown Shaolin community, so it is very special to all of us. We wish you and your growing family the best, Cameron!
NEWS:
Grandmaster Sin The will be in town the last week of February for testing and the seminar. If you are not testing, please be sure to plan to zoom in to support your friends! Testing dates are at the North Austin school on the following dates:
Kung Fu testing (brown belt and above) on Thursday, February 23rd
Tai Chi testing (brown sash and above) on Friday, February 24th
Out of town/state Kung Fu & Tai Chi testing (brown levels and above) on Saturday, February 25th
*Regular classes that week will be cancelled so that we can all participate in these events.*
Then, the seminar will be on Sunday, February 26th. There has been no word on exactly what the material he will teach that day, but we will be sure to send a follow-up email with that information and how to register as soon as we are able. All enrolled students are welcome to take the seminar, and Grandmaster Sin typically communicates the difficulty level of the material when he makes his decision.
Patches are on order! Please let us know if you would like to buy a set of patches for your gi, and we will let you know when they are available.
We are in search of someone who can help create a design for T-shirts. If you or someone you know would like to pick up a side hustle from us, please let us know!
Weather could be touch and go this month, so be sure to check your email and Facebook for any class closures due to weather.
